A Father’s Love

As I sat in church and watched a father beam when his son got up in front of everyone and told us what he loved about his life.

A warmth washed over my heart. Also a lump developed in my throat as I held back tears.

I knew some withheld tears were related to the father’s heart and pride for his son. I could feel it!

Other hidden tears were related to the love and pride I never received from my own dad. In many ways, I was invisible to him.

Today, I choose to forgive him! Today, I choose to love myself, as that is a love that will fill all the holes.

Self-love is the greatest love one can have. As we go within and feel love, it is God’s love our heart holds.

God is limitless, divine love! We are one with God.
